Ep.163 | 5 Minute Drill | Make Decisions Without Regrets

What side of the teeter-totter are your decisions sitting on?

Are they being made from a position of abundance and conviction?

Or are they being made from a position of scarcity and suspicion?

For years, I made decisions from a position of scarcity and suspicion…

Looking back on that season of my life and career, it only delayed my success.

In today’s 5 Minute Drill, I’m going to show you how to more consistently make decisions that will FUEL your success, not delay it.

If you want to be better positioned to make clutch decisions in every area of your life, then make sure to lock in to today’s Drill.

LET’S GET IT!

[00:01 – 10:55] Opening Segment

  • J.R. shares a story about the hesitations he had about himself and the decisions he had around his business

[10:56 – 09:38] What’s The Drill?

STEP 1: identify a decision you need to make. J.R. encourages you to find a decision that feels important to you in this season – perhaps something about your career, family, health.

STEP 2: Ask yourself, if you were to make this decision from a position of abundance (the limits are off…you lack nothing) and conviction (you’re going to honor your firm beliefs), what decision would you make?

BONUS step: In those decision-making moments or seasons where you don’t need to make a decision in a matter of minutes, find a way to leverage your body before you go on to STEP 2. Remember, your mind affects your body and your body affects your mind. You have a key decision-making ally in your body. When it’s primed and your nervous system is regulated, you’re in a better position to make great decisions.

[15:55 – 17:56] Wrapping Up!

KEY QUOTES

“The difference between status quo and your next level is making decisions based on what could be, not on what is.” – J.R.
