If you want to consistently show up at your best, it’s time to start managing your expectations better.

It starts with today’s episode. LOCK IN and LET’S GET IT!

[00:01 – 11:44] Why Setting High Expectations Is Dangerous

  • Example of what happens when you set unrealistic expectations
  • Science behind your expectations

[11:45 – 22:40] What’s The Drill?

  • Part 1 – After you complete your typical preparation for whatever it is that you’re about to do and BEFORE you go into whatever it is, ask yourself this question…
    • Based on WHO I am, what I’m capable of doing RIGHT NOW, AND my current environment or circumstances, what do I expect to happen?
  • Part 2 – EVALUATE your expectations after you do what you do
    • If you’re disappointed after the event – were your expectations too high? Were they not realistic with WHO you are, your capabilities and capacities, and your circumstances or environment? There’s the awareness. Then, you can move forward and get better. All you have to do is ask yourself WHAT you could do next time to better manage your expectations.
    • If you’re feeling good – you have a HUGE opportunity to capitalize on the good stuff. WHAT did you do to contribute to that? Anything you can do to make it even better?

[22:41 – 25:22] Wrapping Up!
